The primary purpose of the Dolls for Darfur pins is to raise awareness about the crisis in Sudan. Each individually packaged pin comes with a business-sized information card about the plight of the Darfurians. The pins make marvelous gifts for family and friends. They also make distinctive party favors.

Additionally, because of their uniqueness, the doll pins often elicit questions or comments from passersby – “Where did you get that pin? Does that pin mean anything? What a great pin!” This presents a wonderful opportunity to educate others about the meaning of the pin and the atrocities in Darfur.

Proceeds raised from the sale of the pins will be given to advocacy and humanitarian agencies aiding Darfur.

Pin-making Kits

In addition to ordering pre-made pins, you may also order pin-making kits. Each kit comes with instructions and materials to make 50 pins. Making the pins is a fun, and relatively simple, activity for people of all ages. It is an especially good project for youth groups.

The suggested donation price for a pin-making packet is $30 (rather than $250, which is how much 50 pins would cost at the suggested donation price of $5).

In return for this reduced cost we ask that you do one of the following:

1. 	Wear a pin and raise awareness.

   Sell the pins that you make and send the donations back to Dolls for Darfur
   - OR -
2. Return the finished pins to Dolls for Darfur, where they will be dispensed.
